Send us your article
RHE is always looking for innovative articles on the history of Christianity. The sending procedure is simple...
An article intended for the RHE should represent original research on a precise subject in the domain of Church history and Christianity. It should be based on primary sources. They should be cited regularly in their original text.
The research should be preceded by an introduction presenting the general area the article fits into and supplying some recent bibliographical references allowing us to situate the subject in the general history of the Church. The introduction can also helpfully include an outline of the methodology used, an evaluation of the interest of the subject treated and an announcement of the plan followed. The article's conclusion offers a synthesis of its contribution.
It can be written in English, French, German, Spanish or Italian. Please supply a résumé of around 10 lines in the language of composition (as well as, if possible , in French, German and English).
The length of an article is at least 12 RHE pages (25.000 characters) and should not exceed 25 pages of the RHE, or 50,000 to 60,000 characters, depending on the volume of footnotes. The standards to be respected for the bibliographical references and for editing will be soon on this page.
An article proposed to the RHE will be submitted by the editorial secretary to at least two readers chosen among the international RHE collaborators. The article's author will receive the editor's opinion within six months. If the article is accepted corrections may be requested, addressed by the editors to the author.
